Product Description
Does your horse feel less enthusiastic about dressage or arena work than you would like? Do you struggle with helping your horse feel forward and interested in the work that you are doing together? Do both of you end your arena riding times feeling frustrated or unhappy? In this class Lester Buckley will offer some ways that you can help your horse, (and yourself) feel better about dressage & arena riding so that you both leave feeling good at the end of a ride.
Lester Buckley is widely regarded as an exceptional and multi-disciplinary teacher of horsemanship, and there are several compelling reasons why you might consider taking a class from him…
Lester possesses a rare blend of experience across various disciplines. He started colts for renowned ranches like the King Ranch and Parker Ranch (personally starting over 3,000 horses), was a successful cutting horse competitor (ranking #2 in the World Open Senior Horse Cutters in 1999), and then immersed himself in classical dressage in Germany for a decade, earning an International Trainers License in Dressage and Sport Jumping from the German FN. This unique background allows him to bridge the gap between “natural horsemanship” and classical principles.
One of Lester’s key strengths is his ability to apply the principles of classical dressage to horses and riders of all disciplines, including Western riding, hunter/jumper, eventing, and even working ranch horses. He believes that “good horsemanship is good horsemanship,” regardless of the specific style. This means his teaching can benefit a wide range of equestrians looking to improve their horse’s balance, athleticism, and responsiveness.
Join us for an illustrated lecture and followed by questions from the class participants.
This class was held Thursday August 7th via Zoom.
