Product Description

When Lester Buckley hears the term “disengage the hindquarters” he understands it is not just an analytical movement but that it is a horsemanship concept. Let’s dive deeper into our own understanding of this concept. Lester will guide us through some sequences of images to help us to understand what we are seeing and what is taking place within the horse and how that might be useful (or not) in our riding. We will then open the class up for questions so that you can clarify any areas that you need more help with.

Please read the roundtable article “Disengaging the Hindquarters” from back issue No.126 as preparation.

The class was held Thursday September 5th via Zoom starting at 6pm MST.

hi and thank you. what a brilliant presentation with such clear information about the balance and rebalance of the horses hindquarters. The tips about the ear position and the twirling of the jaw and then carry on down the vertebrae to withers. The suppling and collective exercises and when to use them was a great help and the correct placement of the hind and fore and riders leg position. The questions were excellent and the answers very informative. I do so hope that we will see more of Lester and to share his great knowledge with us all. Thank you all once again from Spain.
