I purchased this video on the advice of EH. I’ve watched this video many times. I keep going back to it when I develop a bad habit. Joe’s instruction is clear and concise with explanations of every loop and shot. He demonstrates each shot quite a few times from different angles. The best part is that he does it slow so that you can see every movement. I’ve watched roping videos on YouTube, and none of them can touch this video. The Bill Dorrance segments are the icing on the cake! Glad this is on a DVD, because I would have worn out a VHS.

This is one of the best ranch roping DVD’s out there. Joe takes you through the basics, but also shows you how to use them successfully. It is also a great review for folks with more experience.

I’ve watched a bunch of ranch roping videos and this one is my favorite. Joe reviews the basics of building a loop and demonstrates several shots and he also demonstrates how to prepare your horse for roping. A highlight of the video is that it features short segments with Bill Dorrance talking about riding and working with horses. The Bill Dorrance segments alone are worth the price of the video.
