Product Description
Preparation is the key to building a solid foundation in a young horse. California horseman Bryan Neubert gives us an inside look at how he might start a colt on cows and roping.
Tracking cattle is a great way to introduce a horse to livestock. Choose cows that are quiet and gentle to give your horse a good experience. Take the time to get your colt used to the noise, sight and feel of the rope on different parts of his body. When you’re ready to throw a loop, Bryan demonstrates how to tie a knot in your rope so that you can keep your loop open and get your rope off without having to get up on the cow or lay it down.
