This is a fabulous book! The author explains many of the concepts of Buck Brannaman/Ray Hunt/Mindy Bower in clear, step by step directions that are easy to follow. The pictures are helpful and detailed, and the personal stories about different horses are interesting. One of the best books I’ve read about horsemanship by far.
Definitely one of my favorite horse books- I love reading about equestrians who are willing to pull experience and information from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. Melanie’s book tells an interesting life story while also sharing saged advice on horsemanship. Totally worth the read!
This is an excellent book! The photos and descriptions of the ground work exercises are very clear. The philosophies behind the exercises fit right in with the direction I want to go with my horse. I frequently refer to this book and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in advancing their horsemanship skills.
