The Great Basin Buckaroo Gathering by Brooke Sweat

We invite you to join us September 7th & 8th for the 5th Annual Great Basin Buckaroo Gathering at The Golden Spike Events Center in Ogden, Utah.

Jim and Donnette Hicks, of Heber City, Utah, joined in partnership with Trevor Ellis for The Great Basin Buckaroo Gathering in April of this year, and as their Executive Assistant, I am so excited to be apart of such a great heartfelt tradition.

As someone that grew up in the Ranching Community myself, I feel very fortunate to be apart of an event that holds tradition in such high regard. An event that will take me back to my childhood and make me feel right at home. An event that will embrace my children and capture their hearts as they are being taught to live in this heritage. An event that those striving to hold onto this culture will not want to miss.

The Goals for this year’s Buckaroo Gathering are to elevate horsemanship, honor the Buckaroo Traditions and bring the best Ropers together for an amazing competition.
We have a fantastic schedule lined out for competitors and spectators alike.

The Events include:
Top-Hand Roping- Women’s Roping- Youth Roping- Bull Roping- Adult & Youth Stock Horse Competition- Trailer Loading- and Clinic with Martin Black.

We stand firm in our deep-rooted beliefs of the Ranching and Vaquero Traditions and as we continue to grow, we will build an incomparable meeting place for Horsemen and Women to gather together and enjoy artists such as Custom and Quality Bit, Spur, Tack and Saddle Makers, BBQ Cuisine and Traditional Musical Talents.
