Product Description
Cowboys often ride with one hand because the other is busy throwing a loop, opening a gate, or any other number of practical purposes. It is nearly essential then that a good ranch horse be able to neck rein. Bryan Neubert shares with us his insights on how to teach a horse to neck rein. First he demonstrates the desired outcome aboard a bridle horse and then he goes about teaching a young filly the basics of neck reining.
It’s important, even in the early stages to maintain proper form. It isn’t very useful to have a horse turn left while his nose is pointed to the right, but often this is the case. Take the time to prepare your horse so that they have good flexion and balance.
