Kathleen Beckham

Kathleen grew up riding and training hunter jumper show horses until a stroke sidelined her career at age 28. It became clear to Kathleen that she was at a fork in her horsemanship road, and in 1995 she moved to Colorado and began to study horsemanship in earnest, in hopes of learning to work “smarter, not harder” with horses. Kathleen is a passionate student of the horse and continues to study the work of the late Ray Hunt through his disciples. Kathleen lives with her husband Glenn on Glenn’s family’s historic west-central Georgia farm where they raise and develop classically-trained working horses. Kathleen also writes about working with horses, and helps out with the couple's commercial cattle and hay operations.
