Excerpt from the Horseman’s Gazette Issue No. 11
For a young foal, every day is full of new discoveries about life and the world around him. In this video, Bryan Neubert and his wife Patti work as a team to handle a baby colt for the first time. This foal begins to learn how to trust people and to accept their touch and approach. At this age, it can be all too easy for a little horse to get in trouble, so take your time. When a young horse no longer feels threatened, his natural curiosity will soon start to shine through. Bryan gently introduces the colt to the basic principle of yielding and sets him up to turn loose to a suggestion.
