This is one of my favorite DVD’s in my small collection. So often it seems easy for clinicians to glaze over steps but in this dvd Buck takes the time to explain to the human what he’s doing and his expectations of the horse in that moment and gives the horse the time in video to make a change. It helped to remind me how important it is to go at the pace needed rather than the pace one might think should be needed to make a change to build on.

I love how in this DVD Buck starts with a green horse and does a lesson explaining the moves and how the rider should be cueing and why and then get to see the progression to the next 2 horses and why the exercises are so important and how they relate for future. I feel this really helped both my teenage mare and myself and have watched it over and over and learn something new each time! Love the expressions on his horses!

Absolutely the best, hands down, training video ever. If you ‘ve been to a Buck clinic there is SO MUCH to take in and you might only retain 10-20% of everything. This video covers the step-by-step of what you could learn by attending dozens of clinics! And best part – rewind! A huge bonus is he rides multiple horses showing the progression, from super green to ready to transition to hackamore. If I could only have one horse training DVD, this would be it. Clear instruction and demos, great photography, great sound, it’s like Buck is teaching you personally.
