This issue has Dr. Deb Bennett’s “How Horses Work Installment 1: The Anatomy of The Soft Feel” and it, along with the following series of articles is enlightening and provides a lot of guidance to hands-on work to do with your horse. “Feel” often seems vague and many riders have never been taught how to help their horses. Dr. Deb’s beautiful illustrations illuminate joint direction and how to go about encouraging the horse to release. Wendy Murdoch’s article on learning feel in this same issue is the perfect follow-on.
