This class will explore infectious disease and emerging equine viruses. Why should you attend?

Understanding these diseases is crucial for preventing them and providing appropriate care when they occur.

Understanding Emerging Threats: Viruses constantly evolve, and new strains or entirely new viruses can emerge. This class on will keep you up-to-date on the latest threats, enabling you to recognize novel symptoms and implement appropriate preventative strategies. With clinic and show season starting in full, the timing is right to learn.

About the Instructor:
Siobhan Watkins earned her Ph.D. in Biology in 2011 and was an academic and corporate scientist for 15 years, in the UK and the US. Based in New Mexico, she now offers services in equine movement and strength analysis/rehabilitation, and teaches folks about anatomy and biomechanics. She particularly enjoys working with horses recovering from injury, and senior horses.
Classes will be recorded and you will have a copy of the class automatically added to your account in The Mercantile where you can watch it again, or if you missed the class watch what you missed!
