Building a Foundation Over Time Part 4 with Peter Campbell

Excerpt from the Horseman’s Gazette Issue No. 11

Some things simply get better with time and the same thing can be said for horses. It’s not necessarily true however, that horses always improve with more time spent in training. Time and time again people have remarked on the benefits of ‘turning a horse out’. Several months passed between the filming of the previous segment and this current video. Peter Campbell continues to build a foundation with a young filly and today saddles her for the first time. He prepares uses a flank rope to prepare her for the cinches and uses a flag to prepare her for the sight and feel of a saddle swinging onto her back.
