Product Description

This is a wonderful Horsemanship pocket guide written and illustrated by John Sanford. It is spiral bound, double laminated and is 3”x5”. It is a step by step instructional guide of groundwork exercises. It’s designed so you can easily carry it in your shirt or hip pocket. The exercises within are the same ones you will see on colt starting videos by horsemen like Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman and others. This is a must have if you are working with a youngster or sharpening the skills of your older horse. This is your first step on your journey towards better horsemanship.

I used to jot down an outline of the groundwork steps from the various clinicians that I follow, as as many times as I might read the books or watch the DVD’s, there was always a step or two that I’d forget. My folded up paper would be forgotten in a back jeans pocket, and ultimately lost in the washing machine.

This is a much better alternative to my binder paper outlines. It is a handy little reference guide…and I mean little!…that you can throw in your front shirt pocket, or back jeans pocket, or put it on a string and hang it around your neck or around your saddle horn. It has the groundwork steps, with photos, that many of the clinicians utilize, and you can easily follow along and keep your place as you work with your horse away from your DVD player. The pages are thick and laminated, so they won’t be damaged by being outside with you. A great little tool, especially if you are just learning the groundwork process.
